Behind the Scenes and Some Podcast News

When I was working with my friend Julie and then later, Shelby, to find a way to describe the work I do and the offerings that seemed disparate and disconnected, it became clear that the through-line of all of it is relationship. Our connection to one another is the most important part of my work - helping facilitate repair where there has been rupture, helping folks define their connection to themselves and their passion, and crafting ways for us to strengthen our relationships to one another. All of my offerings are in service to the wide variety of relationships we have.

Speaking of Offerings...

I've put together a calendar of online offerings for the first part of 2026 and I'm working on securing a venue for some in-person offerings so stay tuned for that. For now, though, the online options are here:

Podcast News

There is one more podcast episode for 2025 and then I'm pivoting a bit in 2026. The podcast will still be in the same place, and you can still find old episodes, but beginning in January, I'm starting a new series called Visions for a Radically Different World. Thanks to conversations I've been having with groups of people around the globe where we re-imagine what systems and structures would look like if they were rooted in belonging and care, I've been inspired to host a series of six conversations that look at how we might craft an "economy" that was really concerned with meeting human needs, rather than rooted in consuming and hoarding and exploitation. The guests will not be famous or "experts" in anything other than living in human bodies in a world that makes it increasingly more difficult to sustain a healthy, happy life. Tune in to hear how we are thinking about what it might mean to live in a way that isn't extractive or harmful and that also enables us to feel cared for.

I hope this finds you giving yourself time and space to slow down and rest, and maybe gather with beloveds in ways that feel easeful and joyful. As always, let me know how you are if you want to and reach out with questions.

Hi, and Happy November. I hope that wherever you are, you're experiencing some ease and joy and finding ways to stay grounded. The world is a lot right now, for sure. This morning, I was reminded of this poem by Nikita Gill and it gave me some solace. Something to Consider... You all know how I feel about AI (and if you don't you can read my rant here). I have strong opposition to it for a whole host of reasons, and then yesterday, I had an experience that gave me another reason to worry...

Image from https://www.educba.com/abolitionist-movement/ In some spaces, abolition has become a buzzword, and it often feels either confusing or downright frightening to folks, or it's immediately associated with the movement to end slavery in the United States, not as something that is contemporary or important right now. The word, however, has been used in activist movements for decades, and more widely following the murder of George Floyd in 2020, and I think it's important to understand...

Thanks for being here and for being patient with me as the transition to the new website happens (this newsletter will stay here for the time being; I am just exploring ways to wrap up The SELF Project site and weave it in to what I'm doing over at Connective Tissue when that site is live). Shout out to Shelby for helping me keep things cohesive and gorgeous. For real, if you ever need a graphic designer, she's the one to talk to. Enough! Plays and a Conversation Last night I acted as the MC...
